For more than 15 years Foley & Associates (http://www.foley.net.au/services) has offered international trade and business advisory services to international organizations wishing to do business in Australia and New Zealand. F&A comprises a team of six in Sydney, and one in Melbourne. The company also has plans to establish a physical presence in Queensland in 2018.
Since 2002, F&A has assisted more than 1,500 international organizations as they seek to engage with Australia and New Zealand through introducing new products or services; diversifying into new industry sectors; securing up-to-date market intelligence; participating in independent or group visits, and resolving challenges in the market. In 2017 alone F&A completed 257 projects across industry sectors (e.g. Transportation; Infrastructure; ICT; Life Sciences; Industrials; Waste Management; Agricultural; Consumer Goods etc.).
F&A acts as trade advisors and/or investment attraction partners on an ongoing basis for a number of Economic Development Offices (EDOs) out of the US and Europe including: Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers (GSGP), Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, Maryland, Michigan, Finland, and Invest Northern Ireland.
In addition to assisting their clients to understand the market and find success in the region, the office also works closely with their EDO clients to coordinate trade delegations and high-level ministerial visits to the market.
Angela Foley has over 25 years of experience in international business development in Ireland, Germany, the U.K. and Australia/New Zealand. Originally from Ireland, she moved to Australia in 1995, becoming an Australian citizen in 1998. Prior to establishing her own company, Ms. Foley was Senior Group Manager, Trade & Commercial Services with the State Chamber of Commerce New South Wales, and previously acted as a Senior Marketing Analyst with a British-American supply chain software company in the Asia-Pacific region. She also spent 8 years as a senior Business Development Manager with Australia’s federal export authority, Austrade, in the U.K. where she assisted Australian exporters to do business in the U.K., Ireland and mainland Europe. She has a B.A. (Honors) in Applied Linguistics from Dublin City University and postgraduate qualifications in International Marketing & Management (DipM) from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the UK.
