As AUKUS reshapes the strategic landscape of the Indo-Pacific, the partnership is creating significant new opportunities for defense companies across Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Beyond nuclear-powered submarines, AUKUS is accelerating cooperation in AI, cyber, quantum, undersea systems, and advanced manufacturing — all of which rely on secure, resilient, and internationally integrated supply chains.
Foley, IBG Global’s long-standing partner in Australia and New Zealand, has been at the forefront of supporting this transition. In November 2025, Foley delivered a high-impact AUKUS-focused mission for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), connecting U.S. defense innovators with Australia’s rapidly growing defense ecosystem.
The mission brought American companies to Adelaide — home to Australia’s submarine and advanced technology precincts — and Perth, a key hub for naval sustainment and maritime innovation. Foley coordinated tailored B2B meetings, industry roundtables, AUKUS-focused panel discussions, and site visits with leading primes, SMEs, research institutes, and defense stakeholders.
The outcome: new commercial pathways, stronger U.S.–Australia collaboration, and clearer insight into how American suppliers can integrate into Australia’s AUKUS-related industrial base.
AUKUS is driving long-term demand for advanced capabilities and increasing the need for shared workforce development, interoperable supply chains, and joint technology development. SMEs specializing in cyber, AI/ML, photonics, sensing, maritime technology, C5ISR, and advanced manufacturing are especially well positioned to benefit.
With more than 20 years of experience supporting over 3,000 international companies, Foley is ready to assist IBG Global partners and their clients in navigating the Australian defense landscape and unlocking AUKUS-related opportunities.
