Zurcom International, registered in South Africa, has assisted in over 4,500 different projects for firms from across a broad spectrum of industries with export related projects into and out of the African and Caribbean regions. Opening in January 1999 in Johannesburg presently is the official representative for trade for 9 US states in Africa  and 8 in the Caribbean, Through representation of all four State Regional Trade Groups (SRTGs, multi-state agencies with US State Departments of Agriculture as members, Zurcom supports and works with all 50 US State Departments of Agriculture. Zurcom has supported companies through market research, partner selection assistance, export training, background research into commercial firms and a wide range of services. Staff are located in 18 countries of Africa and 5 in the Caribbean. Zurcom has worked with the national governments of Brazil, India, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand and the United Kingdom as well as many regional governments and firms from the European Union, Asia, Australia and others.
Principal Biography
Richard Zurba has over 30 years of experience assisting companies making sales in global markets, particularly Africa and the Caribbean. He is the Director of Zurcom International (Pty) Ltd, Richard came to Africa in 1993, working in the D. R. Congo for World Vision Relief. He moved to South Africa in 1996, as an export manager for a South African firm, selling into 20 African countries. Richard has supported US state export trade since 1999 opening an office in Johannesburg. He has been the Chair and Co-Chair of IBG Global LLC through the years. Richard has a B.A. (Alberta, International Relations), an M.A. (London School of Economics, International History) and an M.B.A. (Western Ontario, International Business).Â
